Moroccan style

Moroccan style belongs to the eastern direction in interior design. Its peculiarity is mainly decoration with natural flowers and an abundance of decor items.

The Moroccan-style house or apartment is full of details such as carved doors and window shutters, low poufs, sofas, tables, carpets and pillows. Moreover, each of these items can be called a work of decorative art, which gives such an interior a special oriental luxury.

This style is perfect for people who value comfort and are not afraid to fill their home with bright colors. If in many styles you should adhere to a certain color scheme, so as not to show tastelessness, then in the Moroccan style, the more colors there are, the more expressive and original it is.

Overlooking the oasis

Each style has its own peculiarity. The highlight of the style that came from the African country of Morocco was the fact that some rooms offer beautiful views of the oasis. Such a move will allow not only to feel intimacy with nature, but also give a feeling of additional comfort and peace.

It can be a terrace or a cozy living room with large windows from which you can admire the green island of nature.

In Morocco itself, such oases serve as gardens in the inner houses of houses. As a rule, the arrangement of such a garden is planned at the stage of construction of the premises and with its subsequent arrangement there are no difficulties.

But what if you were not lucky enough to become the owner of such a luxurious house, and really want to withstand the interior in this style? The solution is quite simple to find. You can equip the existing garden near the house.

If the apartment is made out in this style, then it is quite possible to turn a balcony or a loggia into an oasis. This task can be easily dealt with by placing there indoor flowers and plants.

But, if due to the fact that in the room in which you want to create a Moroccan style there are no large windows and the ability to create an oasis with a view of it, then you can use photo wallpaper with images of picturesque corners of nature.

Moroccan style living room

Creating a Moroccan style begins at the stage of interior decoration.

According to the designer's idea, door and window openings in the walls are specially formed, niches with intricate oriental contours are constructed.

Walls are painted with colors close to shades of natural materials.

But, if for some reason, during the repair, it was not possible to recreate the atmosphere of the interior in the Moroccan style, or this was not originally planned, and the style was decided to change without resorting to repair, then this idea is easily feasible.

After all, in order to turn the average living room into Moroccan, you only need pillows for sofas of various shapes and colors and a low table.

And the more decorative elements such as multi-colored pillows and other details reminiscent of the east will be in the living room, the more you will be able to bring it closer to the Moroccan style.

Moroccan-style bedroom

The bedroom from the living room is a little different. It is also a relaxation room, with an abundance of pillows, wooden carved and metal forged elements.

A spacious bed can be hanged with a canopy, which will allow you to feel all the mystery of oriental tales.

The presence of poufs and sofas is not forbidden. Everything that can make staying in a room even more comfortable and serene will only emphasize the richness of the style.

The color scheme of the bedroom can also be quite expressive. You can make this room in soothing colors, filling it with only bright elements of decor.

And you can make colorful walls, floors and even ceilings.

Moroccan style kitchen

The kitchen has the same principles as in other rooms. The more vivid details and objects, the richer the style.

But there is another feature that will make the Moroccan-style cuisine even more refined. This is a ceramic tile.

You can of course use ordinary tiles, but nothing can emphasize the interior as much as tiles with oriental motifs.

Style in detail

So recognizable and unusual Moroccan style make it the details. Each of which brings a touch of sophistication and originality.

Thick blackout curtains serve in Morocco to protect from the scorching sun, creating twilight and coolness indoors.

Glazed ceramic tiles also serve as a means of protection against sweltering heat in the country where this style was born. In our interior, it will become just another bright accent.

Particular attention is paid to forged products. It can be either pieces of furniture, or lamps or chandeliers. Each of these details is either made by hand or very similar to that which would have been done by ancient artisans, which will add mystery to the room.

Oriental arches and stucco molding in their form are also a distinctive feature of this style, making it even more refined and original.

When creating a Moroccan-style interior, don’t be afraid to fill it with colorful handmade objects, whether it be furniture or pillows. Indeed, it is precisely such details that make it possible to feel all the luxury of the East.
